  • 750g Diced Steak

  • 2 Onions, chopped

  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced

  • 2 Carrots, sliced

  • 500ml Ale

  • 1 Beef Stock Cube

  • 1 tbsp Tomato Purée

  • 1 tsp Thyme

  • 1 Sheet Puff Pastry

  • 1 Egg (for glazing)

  • Salt & Pepper

🔥 How to Cook the Perfect Beef & Ale Pie
1️⃣ Brown steak – In batches, brown steak in a heavy pan.
2️⃣ Add veg – Sauté onions, garlic, and carrots.
3️⃣ Combine – Add steak back in with ale, purée, herbs, stock cube. Simmer for 2 hours.
4️⃣ Assemble – Transfer filling to a pie dish, cover with pastry.
5️⃣ Glaze – Brush with beaten egg.
6️⃣ Bake – 200°C for 25–30 minutes or until golden.
7️⃣ Serve – Let it cool slightly before serving.
