500g Steak Mince
1 Onion, chopped
2 Garlic Cloves, minced
1 Apple, grated
2 tbsp Mild Curry Powder
1 Slice White Bread (soaked in milk and squeezed)
2 tbsp Chutney (mango or fruit chutney)
1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 tbsp Raisins or Sultanas
2 Eggs
200ml Milk
Salt & Pepper
Bay Leaves

🔥 How to Cook Bobotie
1️⃣ Sauté – Fry onion, garlic, and apple in oil until soft.
2️⃣ Brown mince – Add mince and curry powder, cook until browned.
3️⃣ Combine – Stir in soaked bread, chutney, raisins, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5 mins.
4️⃣ Assemble – Spoon into a greased baking dish.
5️⃣ Custard topping – Whisk eggs and milk, pour over mince. Place 1–2 bay leaves on top.
6️⃣ Bake – Bake at 180°C for 35–40 mins until custard is set.
7️⃣ Serve – Slice and serve warm.
