800g Diced Beef
12 Shallots, peeled
2 Garlic Cloves, chopped
1 Tin Chopped Tomatoes (400g)
2 tbsp Tomato Purée
100ml Red Wine
2 tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
1 Cinnamon Stick
3 Cloves
2 Bay Leaves
1 tsp Dried Oregano
Salt & Pepper
Olive Oil

🔥 How to Cook Beef Stifado
1️⃣ Sear beef – Brown beef in batches and set aside.
2️⃣ Shallots – Gently cook whole shallots until golden.
3️⃣ Combine – Return beef to pot. Add garlic, wine, vinegar, tomatoes, purée, and spices.
4️⃣ Simmer – Cover and simmer gently for 2–2.5 hours until beef is tender.
5️⃣ Uncover – Simmer uncovered for the last 30 mins to thicken sauce.
6️⃣ Serve – Garnish with parsley or oregano.
