  • 500g Premium Steak Mince

  • 1 Onion, finely chopped

  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced

  • 1 Carrot, finely diced

  • 2 Celery Sticks, finely chopped

  • 1 Can of Chopped Tomatoes (400g)

  • 2 tbsp Tomato Puree 

  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil 

  • 100ml Red Wine (optional, but recommended)

  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano

  • 1 tsp Dried Basil

  • 1 Bay Leaf

  • Salt & Freshly Ground Black Pepper

  • 400g Spaghetti 

  • Fresh Parmesan Cheese, to serve

🔥 How to Cook the Perfect Spaghetti Bolognese
1️⃣ Prepare the ingredients – Finely chop the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery.
2️⃣ Cook the vegetables – Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Cook until softened (about 5 minutes).
3️⃣ Brown the mince – Add the premium beef mince to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
4️⃣ Add the wine & tomatoes – Pour in the red wine (if using) and let it reduce for 2 minutes. Add the chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, and bay leaf. Season with salt and pepper.
5️⃣ Simmer the sauce – Stir well and let the sauce simmer for at least 30 minutes, or longer for a deeper flavour, stirring occasionally.
6️⃣ Cook the spaghetti – While the sauce simmers, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and toss with a little olive oil.
7️⃣ Serve – Plate the spaghetti, top with the Bolognese sauce, and sprinkle with fresh Parmesan cheese.
